Regarding Tuition & Fee payments

We do not collect tuition in the school office.  All tuition payments must be made directly to TMS

Exams will not be issued to students that are delinquent in tuition or school fees.
For Mid-Term Exams, accounts must be paid in full by Friday, January 8, 2010
For Final Exams, accounts must be paid in full by Friday, May 14, 2010

A reminder about birthday parties!

Children may celebrate their birthday at school, however there are a few rules that must be followed.

• Only Cupcakes & Juice Paks are allowed.

• No Party Bags

• NO Pizza

• No Cakes

Attendance:    A Key to Your Student's Success

Schools are responsible for teaching your child, but can't do their job if your child is absent.  Learning builds day by day.  Children who miss a day of school miss a day of learning.

• Research shows that children who are in school most of the time do better on state tests.  Studies also show that kids who are absent more often score lower on state tests.

• Being late for school hurts a child's learning, too.  A student who is 10 minutes late every day will miss 30 hours of instruction during the year.

• Children can copy notes or make up an assignment, but they can never get back what's most important: the discussions, the questions, the explanations by the teacher and the thinking that makes learning come alive.

• Your child's success in school depends on having a solid educational background - one that can only be gained through regular & punctual school attendance.

Guidelines for Improving Attendance

• Talk with your child about the importance of attending school regularly.
• Avoid scheduling family trips or doctor appointments during school hours.
• Make sure your child stays healthy by eating nutritious food and getting enough exercise.
• Don't accept excuses for why your child "must" miss or be late for school.
• Discuss with your child what happened at school each day.
• Support school rules and consequences for skipping class and being tardy.
• Show your child why education is important.  Give specific examples of how education helps people succeed.
• Lead by example.  If children see parents taking off work for no real reason, they may expect to be able to do the same thing.

Mt. Carmel Publications Policy

Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School often spotlights students and their accomplishments on our website and in publications.  Pictures may appear on brochures, special mailings to Alumni, on fliers or calendars, to name a few.  Teachers may take digital photos of class activities to post on their classroom web page.  Occasionally there may be an article in the local papers.

Unless we receive a signed Denial of Photo Release in the office, it is understood that permission is granted by parents for the use of student images in materials published and/or on the school website.

A signed Denial of Photo Release remains in effect throughout the student's enrollment in OLMC, unless the office is notified in writing to the contrary.

We have received our Certificate of Accreditation from Middle States.  It reads as follows:
